10-Day Honeymoon Safari

Arusha · Tarangire · Ngorongoro · Serengeti · Zanzibar

A ten-day love story from the first champagne welcome beneath Kilimanjaro to the last sea-lit evening on Zanzibar's coast.

10 days 9 nights
A romantic private pavilion at Melia Zanzibar

Overview

A love story, written from the plains to the Indian Ocean.

The finest honeymoons leave room for both adventure and stillness. This journey begins with a warm Arusha welcome, deepens among Tarangire's baobabs and the Ngorongoro Crater, then opens onto the Serengeti where every game drive can become a shared memory.

When the safari has filled the senses, Zanzibar changes the rhythm. White sand, warm water and slow evenings make space to celebrate each other, while thoughtful stays, private moments and Excellent Guides service keep every chapter feeling entirely your own.

10 Days shaped around shared discovery
12 Guests at most for an intimate rhythm
02 Distinct worlds: wild plains and island ease

Highlights

The moments that make a honeymoon feel entirely yours.

This is a romantic journey with room to slow down: first-light game drives, long dinners beneath the stars and an island finale with no timetable but your own.

01

A welcome worth remembering

Champagne at Kilimanjaro International Airport and an elegant Arusha stay set a softly celebratory tone from the very first hour.

02

Safari moments for two

Private sundowners, bush dinners and thoughtfully paced drives create the space to let the wild feel personal rather than performed.

03

The Serengeti, unhurried

Two full days on the plains allow wildlife, light and the quiet confidence of your guide to shape every shared adventure.

04

Zanzibar's gentler finish

Azure water, beach walks, couples' spa time and sunset dinners bring the journey home with a beautifully different kind of magic.

Day by day

A route with room
to become a story.

Follow the journey below. The map will keep pace with each chapter, while the small details stay deliberately open to the rhythm of the wild.

Day 01

Arusha

A champagne welcome beneath Kilimanjaro

Your honeymoon begins the moment you arrive. An Excellent Guides host welcomes you at Kilimanjaro International Airport with chilled champagne, then brings you through the soft foothills beneath Mount Meru to Arusha. Check in, exhale and let the occasion settle around you. There is no need to hurry the opening chapter; the first night is simply for comfort, anticipation and the pleasure of beginning well together.

Day 02

Arusha

A day with nowhere else to be

Today is deliberately light. Linger over breakfast, find a quiet place by the pool and enjoy the rare luxury of a day with no transfer, no schedule and no expectation beyond being together. Arusha's green surroundings give you time to shake off the journey and settle into the rhythm of the days ahead. A spa treatment, a slow lunch or an easy stroll can be added if the mood takes you.

Day 03

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire, where the wilderness softens around you

After breakfast, travel into Tarangire, a landscape of ancient baobabs, open grassland and elephant families moving with quiet purpose. Your tented camp becomes a serene base in the bush, where the day loosens its grip and the evening belongs to firelight, stars and the sound of the wilderness just beyond your canvas walls. It is the kind of first safari night that feels both thrilling and wonderfully intimate.

Day 04

Tarangire to Karatu

Tarangire's elephants, then the Karatu highlands

Spend the day following Tarangire's wildlife at an unhurried pace. Great elephant herds, lions, leopards and the river's changing activity make every turn feel full of possibility. As the sun begins to soften, continue toward Karatu, where cooler highland air and the calm of your lodge offer a beautiful contrast to the day's golden bush scenes. Dinner is a chance to relive the sightings that belonged only to the two of you.

Day 05

Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti

Ngorongoro, a world within walls

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, where an ancient caldera holds grassland, forest, water and an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the rare black rhinoceros are all part of the possibility, while a picnic on the Crater floor gives the experience time to breathe. By late afternoon, continue toward the Serengeti and settle into camp as the great plains begin to take over the horizon.

Day 06

Central Serengeti

The Serengeti, yours in the morning light

A full Serengeti day is not a list of sightings; it is a shared rhythm of light, silence and surprise. Set out with a picnic lunch and let your guide follow fresh tracks, the movement of the herds and the instinct that comes from knowing these plains deeply. Lions, cheetah, leopard and the seasonal sweep of the Great Migration may appear, but the finer memory is often the quiet between them: coffee in the vehicle, one hand finding the other, the horizon with nowhere to end.

Day 07

Central Serengeti

One more day for the wild to surprise you

A second full day lets the Serengeti become more than a first impression. Take a slow morning drive, linger with a pride of lions or find an open place for a private sundowner when the light turns gold. The bush has its own timing, and that is precisely the luxury of being here: there is enough space in the itinerary to follow the moments that feel worth staying with.

Day 08

Zanzibar coast

From the plains to Zanzibar's blue horizon

After breakfast, fly from Seronera to Zanzibar, where the colour palette changes from gold and green to every shade of blue. Your island host brings you to the east coast and Breezes Beach Club, a calm setting for the next, softer chapter of your honeymoon. Spend the afternoon settling in, walk the beach at your own pace and let the ocean air make the transition from safari to sea feel effortless.

Day 09

Zanzibar coast

An island day, entirely your own

Wake to an unhurried breakfast, then decide how the day should feel. Swim in the Indian Ocean, snorkel or dive, stroll the beach, browse a local market or simply claim a shaded corner together. Couples' spa time, a private dinner and a sunset walk can be arranged around you rather than the other way around. It is the perfect final full day: no agenda, just the pleasure of being exactly where you are.

Day 10

Zanzibar departure

Farewell, with the story still unfolding

After breakfast, your private transfer takes you to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight. The journey may be ending, but the moments tend to travel home with you: champagne on arrival, elephants beneath baobabs, a sunrise over the Serengeti and the warmth of the Indian Ocean at your feet. We hope this is only the first great adventure of your life together.
