Kaviche, John Steven (born July 06, 1976), better known by his common name Steve, is a Tanzanian Safari Guide, French and Spanish language translator. Steve is also known of his First Aid services in the wild and well profound driving skills.
Steve began his career as a guide in the late 1990’s. He specialized in general wildlife guiding but made more profile with wild animals and bird watching. Currently he is among excellent guides with more than 15years of experiences in the wild.
Early life and Career
Steven was born in Kilimanjaro, and spent 10 years of his childhood growing in the villages where he used to see tourists passing as they climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. He then moves to Tanga (Coast region of Tanzania) where he completed his primary and secondary education. While waiting for college enrollment Steve attended a driving course at National Institute of Transport (NIT) in Dar es Salaam city. In 1998 he acquired his tourism certificate in tour guiding after a field attachment in both wildlife and cultural tourism niche.
Steven is married, a father of two boys living in Arusha to date. He loves travelling and he has travelled within Africa countries including Nigeria for more experiences in his job. Watching, reading wildlife books or articles and exercising are among the hobbies he prefers.
